im betting this is a trustee or estate sale. if so, you could possibly put in an offer during the overbid. seems like a steal. most likely it will sell for atleast 100k over the asking. its not uncommon for agents selling distressed properties in sf to list them way under actual market value in the hopes of drumming up interest in a short period of time.
